How it works

Is where you can explore and discover all the artistic and cultural events that will be live streamed. The events are listed individually in chronological date and time. If an event belongs to a festival or a specific program then it will be tagged with the name of the program/festival. You can search for events with specific categories, organizers, artists, or cities.

The listing in this page highlights the full program of different cultural institutions and/or festivals. Moreover, it highlights the cities where different events are taking place. From this page you can also access the individual city pages to discover other previous and future events that are, or were, programmed in the city. This pages highlights the full program of a festival or program and maintain its artistic vision and focus. Users will be able to access the festivals or specific programs and discover the performances, workshops, talks, and other activities of a festival or a cultural institution.

Each person mentioned on the Platform will have an individual page with a short biography and links to the artistic events, workshops, talks that s/he participated in. Not only artists are highlighted but also the wider community of people working around a performance, event or festival.

Citerne.live is a new cultural project that aspires a new approach to the digital as an artistic medium. It aims, at the same time, to provide transformative experiences through dance, and to expand the public's enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of dance. We aim to present new and original works, and to promote the access of culture in a global perspective. Our mission is to imagine an engaged role for culture that empowers, and inspires our human values. Citerne.live is an online interdisciplinary digital space designed to propose a live streaming program of cultural events. It aims to provide a ‘cultural framework’ for creative thought online and to build a wider coalition of artists, cultural organizations, and festivals. ‘A voice for culture’, reflecting its innovative values as well as values of cooperation, commonality, equality, solidarity, and transnational approach.

The "How to Create in the Aftermath of a Catastrophe" roundtable explores the intersections of art, public space, and crisis. It examines how art professionals navigate creation during ongoing emergencies—not just as a response to destruction but as a way to cultivate hope, reinvent common spaces, and activate resistance through participation, debate, and sharing. It raises ethical questions about representation, spectatorship, and the risk of aestheticizing trauma while considering how artistic interventions can challenge dominant power structures. Participants will discuss how catastrophe redefines artistic urgency, how performance reclaims public space, and how creative interventions foster long-term political impact.
Can we envision performance as a site of solidarity, where ephemeral acts of togetherness shape new social and artistic possibilities and leave lasting impacts in societies shaped by destruction?

Cette table ronde explore les intersections entre l'art, l'espace public et la crise. Elle examine comment les professionnels de l'art naviguent dans la création pendant les urgences en cours — non seulement en réponse à la destruction, mais aussi comme un moyen de cultiver l'espoir, de réinventer les espaces communs et d'activer la résistance à travers la participation, le débat et le partage. Elle soulève des questions éthiques sur la représentation, le spectateur et le risque d'esthétiser le traumatisme, tout en réfléchissant à la manière dont les interventions artistiques peuvent défier les structures de pouvoir dominantes. Les participants discuteront de la manière dont la catastrophe redéfinit l'urgence artistique, comment la performance réapproprie l'espace public et comment les interventions créatives favorisent un impact politique à long terme.
Pouvons-nous envisager la performance comme un lieu de solidarité, où des actes éphémères de convivialité façonnent de nouvelles possibilités sociales et artistiques et laissent un impact durable dans des sociétés marquées par la destruction ?

The digital era is shaking up our habits and our fields of perception. But the digital world is also an opportunity to rethink our artistic practices. It offers and puts forward new modes of representation but also of presence in the world. It represents a powerful tool which can, if it is mastered, encourage artistic proliferation, access to culture but also allow a greater richness and openness to the world and reach new audiences.

With guests Omar Rajeh et Mia Habis, founders of Citerne.live, Fu Le from Cie Tétrapode and Éloïse Lefévbre – visual and video artist and Olivier Chervin, responsible for pedagogy, conferences and training at la Maison de la Danse.

L’ère du digital bouscule nos habitudes et nos champs de perception. Mais l’univers du numérique est également l’occasion de repenser nos pratiques artistiques. Il offre et met en avant de nouveaux modes de représentation mais aussi de présence au monde. Il représente un outil puissant qui peut, s’il est maîtrisé, favoriser le foisonnement artistique, l’accès à la culture mais aussi permettre une plus grande richesse et ouverture sur le monde et l’atteinte de nouveaux publics.

In a natural and oppressive environment that Man never seems to have altered, TEPHRA tells in images a contemporary mythology of the volcano: the one embodied by a collective female body, half-child, half-nymph. In contrast to the figure of the hero, her resilient behavior in the face of possible danger is personified by boredom, gentleness, mutual aid, ritual and acceptance of a future that is as peaceful as it is disturbing.

Dans un environnement naturel et oppressant que l’Homme ne semble jamais avoir altéré, TEPHRA raconte en images une mythologie contemporaine du volcan : celle incarnée par un corps collectif féminin, mi-enfant mi-nymphe. À l’opposé de la figure du héros, son comportement de résilience face au possible danger est personnifié par l’ennui, la douceur, l’entraide, le rite et l’acceptation d’un devenir aussi paisible qu’inquiétant.

Jedeya. A bubble of memories of the ancestral gestures that shaped the life of a Tunisian grandmother and which have been passed down from one generation to the next.
Sofian Jouini explores the memory of bodies through the prism of his grandmother. He explores the gestures of everyday life and those of working the land up to the kneading of bread. In 2020, immersed in a nursing home, with the elderly, he collected their testimonies around the daily gestures that had filled their past lives. Between Tunisia and Brittany, these life stories have nourished the creation of Jedeya. Sofian invites us to sit around a bread oven to revisit the gestures that punctuate existence.

Jedeya. Une bulle de souvenirs des gestes ancestraux qui ont façonné la vie d’une grand-mère tunisienne et qui se sont transmis d’une génération à l’autre.
Sofian Jouini explore la mémoire des corps à travers le prisme de sa grand-mère. Il explore les gestes du quotidien et ceux du travail de la terre jusqu’au pétrissage du pain. En 2020, en immersion dans un Ephad, auprès des personnes âgées, il a recueilli leurs témoignages autour des gestes du quotidien qui avaient rempli leurs vies passées. Entre la Tunisie et la Bretagne, ces récits de vie ont nourri la création de Jedeya. Sofian nous invite à nous installer autour d’un four à pain pour revisiter les gestes qui rythment l’existence.
