From this page you can also access the individual city pages to discover other previous and future events that are, or were, programmed in the city. This pages highlights the full program of a festival or program and maintain its artistic vision and focus. Users will be able to access the festivals or specific programs and discover the performances, workshops, talks, and other activities of a festival or a cultural institution.

Each person mentioned on the Platform will have an individual page with a short biography and links to the artistic events, workshops, talks that s/he participated in. Not only artists are highlighted but also the wider community of people working around a performance, event or festival.

Lyon

Ioannis’ aim is to create on the spot a performance based upon the spectators’ ideas that will be thrown at him at the time of the performance. To collect, process and render the audience’s suggestions in the form of a dance, improvised instantaneous performance, hence its title. By involving the audience in the creative process, Ioannis offers a new perspective on the choreographic art, from the inside, which aims to help understand some of the rules and tools of the composition of a choreographic piece. Le but de Ioannis Mandafounis est de créer sur le vif une performance basée sur les idées des spectateurs qui lui seront lancées au moment de la représentation. When we look at each other, I forget if it's me who looks at you or who you look at.
The idea we have of ourselves is not that of an organism of living cells, but something else. We are a mental construction (opsychological) of abstract concepts that results in what we call the Self, or Ego. An Ego that is observed, reflected and materialized in the gaze of the other. An external look that acts as a mirror for us and is essential to evolve in life, but that, in imbalance with our own internal listening, results in an unbalanced, deformed and fragile evolution. Quand on se regarde, j'oublie si c'est moi qui te regarde ou qui tu regardes. L'idée que nous nous faisons de nous-mêmes n'est pas celle d'un organisme de cellules vivantes, mais autre chose. Nous sommes une construction mentale (psychologique) de concepts abstraits qui aboutit à ce que nous appelons Je, ou Ego. Un Moi qui s'observe, se reflète et se matérialise dans le regard de l'autre. Un regard extérieur qui nous sert de miroir et qui est indispensable pour évoluer dans la vie, mais qui, en déséquilibre avec notre propre écoute intérieure, se traduit par une évolution déséquilibrée, déformée et fragile. Moi Je

Alexandre Roccoli draws his inspiration from the source of possession dances as they may have appeared in Morocco, particularly in the Gnaoua brotherhoods but also in certain more urban contemporary cultures, from hip hop to house music. By playing with the repetition of movements and sounds, Alexandre Roccoli produces a circular, hypnotic and magnetic aesthetic where the body is seized by the vertigo of dance. Between a state of grace and a state of shock, the energy and virtuosity of young Moroccan dancer Yassine Aboulakoul transmits a mad desire to dance.

Alexandre Roccoli puise son inspiration à la source de danses de possession telles qu’elles ont pu apparaître au Maroc. Notamment dans les confréries gnaoua mais aussi dans certaines cultures contemporaines plus urbaines, du hip hop à la house music. En jouant avec la répétition des mouvements et des sons, Alexandre Roccoli produit une esthétique circulaire, hypnotique et magnétique où le corps est saisi par les vertiges de la danse. Entre état de grâce et état de choc, l’énergie et la virtuosité du jeune danseur marocain Yassine Aboulakoul transmet un désir fou de danser.

A prison represents a powerful sentence of punishment and a forced limitation of freedom. Totalitarian regimes have used this establishment to subjugate free speech through intimidation and torture. 
How can such an experience affect the perception one has on its body, movements, and reactions. As a dancer, Bassam Abou Diab, attempts to embody the reaction of inhuman practices, leading to a world of fantasy, allowing the body to transcend into the supernatural. Dancing and dreaming in order to survive the pain. 

Une prison représente une condamnation puissante et une limitation forcée de la liberté. Les régimes totalitaires ont utilisé cet établissement pour assujettir la liberté d'expression par l'intimidation et la torture. Comment une telle expérience peut-elle affecter la perception que l'on a de son corps, de ses mouvements et de ses réactions. En tant que danseur, Bassam Abou Diab, tente d'incarner la réaction de pratiques inhumaines, conduisant à un monde fantasmatique, permettant au corps de se transcender dans le surnaturel. Danser et rêver pour survivre à la douleur.

In Nebula, Vania Vaneau approaches the human body-nature relationship as the meeting of force fields in a post-apocalyptic context. In a kind of archaeology of the future, Nebula questions what other relationships to time, craft, soil, and chimeras could emerge to draw a new cosmogony. What mutations and hybridizations could come out of chaos? Nebula is a crossing into the unknown, a moment of eclipse to glimpse at other possible worlds. Avec Nebula, Vania Vaneau aborde le corps humain en relation avec la nature comme la rencontre de champs de forces dans un contexte post-apocalyptique. Dans une sorte d’archéologie du futur, Nebula questionne quels autres rapports au temps, à la fabrication, à la terre et aux chimères pourraient surgir pour dessiner une cosmogonie nouvelle. Quelles mutations et hybridations pourraient advenir du chaos ? Nebula est une traversée vers l’inconnu, un moment d’éclipse pour entrevoir des possibles. Nebula

Turbulent flow is an expression of time and space. It was shot in the Lebanese mountains during a time of transition as well as economical and political instability in the country. There is a heaviness of some sort in the air, especially in the city. The mountains are high enough above it.
The rocks stand strong, seemingly eternally unhinged by the elements and variables, they are quite a nice refuge.

Turbulent flow est une expression du temps et de l'espace. Il a été tourné dans les montagnes libanaises pendant une période de transition et d'instabilité économique et politique dans le pays. Il y a une sorte de lourdeur dans l'air, surtout en ville. Les montagnes sont assez hautes au-dessus.

Snakes and Ladders is an imaginary excursion, examining darkness, metaphorically, sensorially and symbolically. Hopelessly powerless bodies move, scan a dying city, try to read the future in the dark.
The film creates a duality between a human body and a concrete building - attempting to open pathways of perception by melting the fortifications of our constructed meanings – by observing matter and thought, in their raw form.

While merging and intertwining with nature, three young girls create a metaphorical and visionary narrative of their present condition and their projections towards the future. 
Through their lightness, disorientation, vitality, and strength, they embark on a choreographic journey facing high and low tides, turbulence and contradictions, calm and turmoil. Guided by absurd questions the oranges reflect the path of the protagonists in their delicate passage to adulthood and guide us in a poetic reflection on our lives. En fusionnant et en s'entremêlant avec la nature, trois jeunes filles créent un récit métaphorique et visionnaire de leur condition actuelle et de leurs projections vers l'avenir.

We continue in this second session of Caring, Daring, Sharing conversations after the first one that took place within BIPOD 2022 in Lyon in early May. In 2019, Omar Rajeh, the choreographer, begins a series of explorations that will lead him to unprecedented questions: The forced dismantling of Citerne Beirut, a performing arts space of which he is the founder, the political and economic collapse of Lebanon and the civil unrest after October 17th, followed by the global Covid-19 crisis, and finally the tragic explosion at the port in August 2020, which destroyed half of the city of Beirut, killing and injuring thousands of people.

What voice do we insist on having after being silenced? What body do we walk around with when we are drowned in pain? What do we do with our memories when they deceive us and fail to resemble reality? What hopes do we carry when we are far from our struggles and dreams?

It is in a context of political, economic and health crisis that ‘The Odor of Elephants After the Rain’ was created. It was shot in Beirut in 2021 shortly after the August 4th explosion. It testifies of the experience of deep-rooted pain, loss, and disillusion. Dear places reduced to ashes, disfigured memories, trampled dreams, and dashed hopes


En 2019, commence pour le chorégraphe Omar Rajeh une série d'explorations qui vont le mener vers des questionnements sans précédents: Le démantèlement forcé du théâtre Citerne Beyrouth dont il est le fondateur, l'effondrement politique et économique du Liban et le soulèvement civil du 17 octobre, suivi de la crise mondiale du Covid-19, et enfin de la tragique explosion du port en août 2020 ; qui a détruit la moitié de la ville de Beyrouth, tuant et blessant des milliers de personnes.

Quelle voix porte-t-on après avoir été réduits au silence? Quel corps déambule-ton quand on a mal? Que fait-on de nos souvenirs quand ils nous déçoivent et ne ressemblent plus à la réalité? Quels espoirs porte-t-on quand on est loin de ses combats et de ses rêves?

C’est sur un fond de désastre politique, économique et sanitaire que The Odor of Elephants after the Rain prend forme. Ce solo dansé qui offre aussi un film tourné à Beyrouth en 2021 peu après l’explosion du 4 Aout, témoigne à la fois  de l’expérience de la douleur enfouie au fond de soi et celle de la perte et de la désillusion. Des lieux chers réduits en cendre, des souvenirs défigurés, des rêves piétinés et des espoirs bafoués.

How culture can formulate a discourse for political change while protecting itself from shifting into political propaganda. We look into cultural presence that is immersing itself in active and engaged actions, and shaping a logic of thinking with broader perspectives and possibilities of change.

We will start by awakening the body with breathing exercises working from the joints towards the movement, to be able to flow and unify the breath with the movement. We will continue investigating and looking for different ways of using the floor, working on different qualities of movement, dynamics, space. In the second part, we will work mainly on contact and improvisation with a defined concept to be able to investigate and develop other interpretive facets


Nous commencerons par éveiller le corps avec des exercices de respiration travaillant des articulations vers le mouvement, pour pouvoir couler et unifier la respiration avec le mouvement. Nous continuerons d'étudier et de rechercher différentes manières d'utiliser le sol, en travaillant sur différentes qualités de mouvement, de dynamique, d'espace. Dans la deuxième partie, nous travaillerons principalement sur le contact et l'improvisation avec un concept défini pour pouvoir explorer et développer d'autres facettes interprétatives

The Unhearable Voices

As slipping out of the cloth of constantly fluttering flags, heraldic symbols take form and weight. Chimerical beings and oneiric figures appear, like leafing through an armorial or medieval bestiary. They seem to tell us stories of conflicts which took place in the well delimited perimeter of an emblematic battlefield.
ARA! ARA! is the designation of a symbol. The symbol of a rising power that chooses a bird to represent itself. Not a majestic and fearsome raptor like the eagle, an animal often used as a heraldic symbol of power. On the contrary, a bird that communicates fun and quietness by becoming, according to a popular western look, an exotic icon: the parrot ARA. Second part of a diptych started with AeReA, ARA! En glissant hors du tissu constamment flottant des drapeaux, les symboles héraldiques prennent forme et consistence. Des êtres chimériques et des figures oniriques apparaissent, comme feuilletant un bestiaire armorial ou médiéval. Ils semblent nous raconter des histoires de conflits qui se sont déroulés dans le périmètre bien délimité d'un champ de bataille emblématique.
ARA ! ARA ! est la désignation d'un symbole. Le symbole d'une puissance montante qui choisit un oiseau pour se représenter. Pas un rapace majestueux et redoutable comme l'aigle, un animal souvent utilisé comme symbole héraldique de pouvoir. Au contraire, un oiseau qui communique plaisir et quiétude et qui est devenu, selon un look occidental populaire, une icône exotique : le perroquet ARA. Brainstorming/ Bodystorming with Peggy Olislaegers

How do artists work in a war zone? How can artists safeguard a culture under threat of annihilation? What does courage and daring mean in the context of a hostile invasion by a military force? The devastating war in Europe happening right now totally changes our notions of risk, care, support and the role of the artist for all of us. This conversation explores the impact of Russia’s war on two key figures in the dance world, and what they imagine will be the future of dance in Ukraine.

Comment les artistes travaillent-ils dans un pays en guerre ? Comment les artistes peuvent-ils sauvegarder une culture menacée d'anéantissement ? Que signifient courage et audace dans le contexte d'une invasion hostile par une force militaire ? La guerre dévastatrice en Europe qui se déroule en ce moment change totalement pour nous tous nos notions de risque, de soins, de soutien et du rôle de l'artiste. Cette conversation explore l'impact de la guerre de Russie avec deux personnalités clés du monde de la danse en Ukraine, et ce qu'elles imaginent être l'avenir de la danse dans ce pays.

Cartes sur Table - a future for dance in Ukraine?

Maqamat organizes in partnership with the CND and the Relais Culture Europe, on May 6 and 7 in Lyon, meetings in several forms which invite dancers, choreographers, performing arts professionals, organizers and local, regional and international intellectuals to meet for exchanges, debates, practices, experiences, presentations and conversations focused on attention, solidarity and support for artists. 

It is a moment of exchange with the objective of rethinking our approach to culture and questioning its dynamics with which we operate. The opportunity to highlight our fears and open a discussion about certain artistic, social and cultural concerns. How artists today can decide their own path and how to imagine policies that can address these concerns.

Apart from meetings and conversations with certain artists and intellectuals around the idea of disobedience, namely "disobey why", disobey to do what" and "how to disobey", the two days will also revolve around two other axes. The first is to have courage and dare. Take risks to preserve the richness of what serves art and artists, maintain originality, creative freshness and share these values. The second is to be attentive to the needs, the limits and the affinities of our time. Discuss issues related to both physical and mental health in different geopolitical contexts, particularly in the field of artistic creation in connection with solidarity, care and innovation.

Maqamat organise en partenariat avec le CND et le Relais Culture Europe, les 6 et 7 mai à Lyon, des rencontres sous plusieurs formes qui invitent danseurs, chorégraphes, professionnels du spectacle vivant, animateurs et intellectuels locaux, régionaux et internationaux à se retrouver pour des échanges, débats, pratiques, expériences, présentations et conversations axées sur l'attention, la solidarité et le soutien aux artistes. C'est un moment d'échange avec l'objectif de repenser notre approche de la culture et de questionner sa dynamique avec laquelle nous opérons. L'occasion de mettre en lumière nos peurs et d'ouvrir une discussion sur certaines préoccupations artistiques, sociales et culturelles. Comment est-ce que les artistes d'aujourd'hui peuvent décider de leur propre chemin et comment imaginer des politiques qui peuvent répondre à ces préoccupations. Outre des rencontres et conversations avec certains artistes et intellectuels autour de l'idée de désobéissance, à savoir « désobéir pourquoi », désobéir pour faire quoi » et « comment désobéir », les deux journées s'articuleront également autour de deux autres axes: D’abord le courage, prendre des risques pour préserver la richesse de ce qui sert l'art et les artistes, maintenir l'originalité, l'innovation créative et partager ces valeurs. Puis d'être attentif aux besoins, aux limites et aux affinités de notre temps. la santé tant physique que mentale dans différents contextes géopolitiques, notamment dans le domaine de la création artistique en lien avec la solidarité, le soin et l’innovation.

This 18th edition of BIPOD takes place in Lyon & Beirut, with a live streaming program on Citerne.live digital platform. We gathered a program of performances, videos, discussions, debates, experiences and conversations around the thematic of #cultural_disobedience. Opening a discussion about culture in relation to several artistic, social, and political concerns is an urgency today. How culture can intervene and engage in the social and political without losing its artistic drive and questions. And how much cultural dynamics are reflecting a scene of inclusion and equality. What does it mean to be an artist? A programmer? And what does it even mean to be an ‘active’ audience and why? It seems there is a vital need, on an artistic and curatorial level, to rethink our approaches to culture and question current operating dynamics. Our aspiration is to explore how inspiring ideas, that materialized themselves in theatres, festivals, companies, and collectives, can continue to rejuvenate, revitalize themselves, and serve their innovative purposes.





Cette 18e édition du BIPOD se déroule à Lyon & Beyrouth, avec un programme en direct diffusé sur la plateforme numérique Citerne.live. Nous avons rassemblé un programme de performances, vidéos, discussions, débats, expériences et conversations autour de la thématique de la #désobéissance_culturelle. Ouvrir un débat sur la culture en relation avec plusieurs préoccupations artistiques, sociales et politiques est aujourd'hui une urgence. Comment la culture peut intervenir et s'engager dans le social et le politique sans perdre son dynamisme et ses interrogations artistiques. Et combien de dynamiques culturelles reflètent une scène d'inclusion et d'égalité. Qu'est-ce que cela signifie d'être un artiste? Un programmateur ? Et qu'est-ce que cela signifie même d'être un public "actif" et pourquoi ? Il semble qu'il y ait un besoin vital, sur le plan artistique et curatorial, de repenser nos approches de la culture et de questionner les dynamiques de fonctionnement actuelles. Notre aspiration est d'explorer comment des idées inspirantes, qui se sont matérialisées dans des théâtres, des festivals, des compagnies et des collectifs, peuvent continuer à rajeunir, à se revitaliser et à servir leurs objectifs innovants.


'In the silence of love you will find the spark of life' - RUMI 

This open Studio is a short presentation of the work process of Omar Rajeh's new creation that will premiere in November 2021 at Espaces des Arts – Chalon sur Soâne. Inspired by the Persian poet Jalal-al-Din Rumi’s love poems, Cent Mille Façons de Parler is a work about desire, passion, and extreme moments of love. Rumi serves, in this performance, as a starting point to explore the question of Love in its extreme, in its becoming a drive, a passion, and a way of life.

Cette sortie de résidence consiste en une courte présentation du processus de travail de la nouvelle création d'Omar Rajeh qui sera présentée pour la première fois en novembre 2021 à l' Espaces des Arts - Chalon sur Soâne. L’œuvre s’inspire des poèmes d’amour de Jalal-al-Din Rumi et de son approche du religieux et de l’inconnu à travers une pratique philosophique qui puise l’amour au coeur de l’action. Rumi sert, dans cette performance, de point de départ pour explorer la question de l'Amour à son extrême, en tant que pulsion, que passion qui devient un mode de vie. La pièce est une invitation à agir et à creuser pour trouver ce qui nous anime et se concentre sur le corps dans des moments extrêmes de passion, d'amour et de désir d'exister. Cent Mille Façons de Parler 

In my ethnicity - Éwé - the formation of musical polyrhythm encompasses not only sound aspects but also motion, with each dancer acting as an additional layer of the musical polyrhythm. Polycentrism intertwines in this game where one becomes a flux of patterns as if they had a life of their own. The performance dives into this intimate relation with multiple vibrations, waves and frequencies as polyrhythm-graphy. Dans mon appartenance ethnique - Éwé - la formation de la polyrythmie musicale englobe non seulement les aspects sonores mais aussi le mouvement, chaque danseur agissant comme une couche supplémentaire du polyrythme musical. Le polycentrisme s'entremêle dans ce jeu où l'on devient un flux de motifs comme s'ils avaient une vie propre. La performance plonge dans cette relation intime avec de multiples vibrations, ondes et fréquences comme la polyrythmie-graphie. This work explores the body as a space for lost architecture. What happens when an architectural space - whose main purpose is to offer the body a place to exist - no longer exists. It questions the role of a moving body in a placeless place, and uses the body as a medium to give it a shape while embodying the echoes of what once was but no longer is.

Ce travail explore le corps comme espace d'architecture perdue. Que se passe-t-il lorsqu'un espace architectural - dont le but principal est d'offrir au corps un lieu d'existence - n'existe plus. Il questionne le rôle d'un corps en mouvement dans un lieu sans place, et utilise le corps comme médium pour lui donner une forme tout en incarnant les échos de ce qui était autrefois mais n'est plus.

“A’alehom” is a solo performance that tells a story of loss, pain, physical abuse and revolt. It is about overcoming obstacles and shedding victimhood. Creating this performance has been a catalyst for life, a motive that kept Alexandre resilient in the face of the current political and socio-economic crisis hitting Lebanon.
“A’alehom” was born under layers of stress and melancholy that brought Alexandre close to burnout and surrender. This is exactly why it morphed into a journey of salvation, demonstrating once again the urgency of art creation and proving it to be a life necessity. Photo Patrick Baz


“A’alehom” est une performance solo qui raconte une histoire de perte, de douleur, de violence physique et de révolte. Il s’agit de surmonter les obstacles et de se débarrasser de la victimisation. La création de cette performance a été un catalyseur pour la vie, un objectif qui a permis à Alexandre de rester résilient face à la crise politique et socio-économique qui touche actuellement le Liban. 
«A’alehom » est né sous des couches de stress et de mélancolie qui l’ont poussés à l’épuisement et l‘abandon.
C’est pour cette raison spécifique que cette création est devenue un voyage intérieur et physique salutaire, démontrant une fois de plus, l’urgence de la création artistique et sa nécessité vitale.

A'alehom

Evoking the Ephemeral is a conversation between a group of young Lebanese dancers that gathered around a creation process led by choreographer Corinne Skaff. The artists will share their experience in putting up a performance dealing with the Ephemeral and then carrying in their performing bodies the aftermath of the Beirut Explosion, a year of uprising and shattered social references. Inspired by the eternal movement of the stars, Compagnie Linga's new production seeks a collective harmony, a world where bodies merge in the search for a new alloy and space, creating relationships so intense that emotions are shared, understood, felt by all. Everyone finds, in the simultaneity of the movements, the place for the maximum deployment of the senses. Rotations, revolutions, conjunction of trajectories and geometries, the dancers invent new scenic orbits, carried by a music expressly composed for the piece and interpreted on the stage by the duo l'Ombre de la Bête. For the 17th edition of BIPOD- Beirut International Platform of Dance, Maqamat company invites cultural partners in 8 different countries to co-curate and co-organize 'Architecture of a Ruined Body'.  This cultural project gathers artists, festivals and cultural venues in the Mediterranean and across Europe in order to question the body’s remaining possibilities, vulnerabilities, resilience or revolt, and simply its being in moments of crisis. It is an attempt to acknowledge that the world we live in is in a phase of global transformation and change. After the shocking social, political, and health incidents of 2019 & 2020, it seems inevitable that culture is at the forefront to question and be questioned, to explore and be explored, to renew thought and be renewed.

BIPOD 2021 | Architecture of a Ruined Body is organized from 16 May until 27 June in cooperation with Allianz Kulturstiftung, CND/Lyon,  CCN Bourgogne Franche-Comté à Belfort/ Viadanse, Les Subsistances, Taldans, Menhir, Sareyyet Ramallah, Dan.Cin.Lab, Egomio Cultural Centre, and Rézodanse.

Pour la 17ème édition du festival BIPOD- Beirut International Platform of Dance, la compagnie Maqamat invite des partenaires culturels dans 8 pays différents, à se croiser pour co-programmer et co-organiser le projet « Architecture d'un Corps en Ruine ». Ce projet culturel réunit des artistes, des festivals et des lieux de culture en Europe et autour de la Méditerranée pour s’interroger sur les possibilités du corps, ses faiblesses, sa force de résilience ou de résistance et plus simplement sur son existence en temps de crise. Conscients que notre monde vit une phase de transformation globale et de changement et suite aux bouleversements sociaux, politiques et sanitaires de 2019 et 2020, la culture doit inévitablement questionner et se questionner, explorer et être explorée, renouveler la pensée et se renouveler.

Oyunu II  is an interdisciplinary performance that revisits an imagined event in the history of East Mediterranean queer culture. It is Inspired by the banned culture of the köçek, which flourished from the 17th to the 19th century and had its origin in the 'harems' of Ottoman palaces. Oyunu is an immersive concert experience, through the eyes of a male dancer, that features traditional songs, electronic music, & belly dance. By bridging between tradition and contemporary life, the concert subtly explores controversial themes: masculinity, homoeroticism & islam.



Oyunu II est une performance interdisciplinaire qui revisite un événement imaginé dans l'histoire de la culture queer de la Méditerranée orientale. La pièce s'inspire de la culture interdite du köçek, qui a prospéré du 17ème au 19ème siècle et de son origine dans les «harems» des palais ottomans. Oyunu est l'expérience immersive d'un concert, à travers les yeux d'un danseur qui offre des chansons traditionnelles, de la musique électronique et de la danse du ventre. En faisant le pont entre la tradition et la vie contemporaine, le concert explore subtilement les thèmes controversés de masculinité, homoérotisme et islam.

Noctilūca explores the potential re-appropriation of a lost wild layer of being. In the pursuit of a disciplined and controlled society, sparks of dynamism and life force have been dulled. Awakening the tamed and penetrating the unknown, I reunite with my body, in the sway of a primordial tune.

Noctilūca explore la ré-appropriation potentielle d'une couche sauvage perdue de l'être. Dans la poursuite d'une société disciplinée et contrôlée, les étincelles de dynamisme et de force de vie ont été émoussées. Réveillant l'apprivoisé et pénétrant l'inconnu, je retrouve mon corps, sous l'emprise d'un air primordial.

I was not Beirut on the day of the explosion, but I think the shock wave reached me. For days and days my stomach turned upside down. It's not just because this explosion hit my city and my country. It's also because the neighborhoods that have been affected are the neighborhoods of my childhood and adolescence, the neighborhoods where my closest Lebanese friends live and where I know every nook and cranny. I decided to visit them, get some news, walk the streets and measure the geographical and human modifications that this explosion induces.

Je n'étais pas Beyrouth le jour de l'explosion, mais je pense que l'onde de choc est arrivée jusqu'à moi. Pendant des jours et des jours j'avais l'estomac retourné. Ce n'est pas seulement parce que cette explosion a touché ma ville et mon pays. C'est aussi parce que les quartiers qui ont été touchés sont les quartiers de mon enfance et de mon adolescence, les quartiers où mes amis libanais les plus proches habitent et dont je connais les moindres recoins. J'ai décidé de leur rendre visite, de prendre des nouvelles, d'arpenter les rues et mesurer les modifications géographiques et humaines que cette explosion induit.
