Rima Baransi
Rima Baransi is a Palestine based freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher. She started her professional journey with Ramallah First Group (Sareyyet Ramallah). She enrolled as a dance student at the Charles E. Smith Jerusalem High School for the Arts in 2007. She joined a three-year professional contemporary dance program at Berlin Dance Institute. Rima holds the messages of Gender equality, Peace, and anti-oppression where she uses her own body, to reflect and create. While freelancing she has performed at the Tate London, Osloworld Festival, people united projects company, she performed at google and YouTube events at Arena in Dublin, Ireland and Milan, Italy and many more. Stereo 48
Stereo48 is a Palestinian young organization working in the field of performing art and particularly contemporary theater and dance. It has been founded in 2014 by a group of break-dancers from the city of Nablus. Their mission is to enhance the performing art scene in Palestine through several programs: theatre and dance performances, hip-hop workshops and classes in the refugee camps always believing in the positive impact of culture on the people living in marginalized areas. Moreover the Dance Competitions Program that they organize focuses on expanding and spreading the culture of dance and hip-hop through dance competitions for professionals engaging in friendly contests.
