Marie Schmieder
Marie Schmieder (*1984, Germany) studied Dance, Dance Science and has an additional qualification in Design Thinking. As a dancer she worked e.g. with Philipp Egli, Carlos Matos, Steijn Celis. Furthermore she worked for schwarz+weiss, an agency for design and artistic thinking. In 2014 she began as a producer for choreographers and was since 2017 producer for the International Festival - Tanz im August at HAU Hebbel am Ufer. Since February 2021 she is a member of the cie. toula limnaios and responsible for tours and collaborations. Photo Bernd Sahling

The cie. toula limnaios is an ensemble for contemporary dance, founded in 1996 by Toula Limnaios and Ralf R. Ollertz. It presents around 60 to 70 performances every year while continuously producing ensemble works of exceptional quality, making them one of the most successful ensembles for contemporary dance today and a highlight of the German dance scene for the Goethe Institute and the Federal Foreign Office. Their dance is dynamic, critical and bold – with concern for humankind, made by and for people.
