If an event belongs to a festival or a specific program then it will be tagged with the name of the program/festival. You can search for events with specific categories, organizers, artists, or cities.

The listing in this page highlights the full program of different cultural institutions and/or festivals. Moreover, it highlights the cities where different events are taking place. From this page you can also access the individual city pages to discover other previous and future events that are, or were, programmed in the city. This pages highlights the full program of a festival or program and maintain its artistic vision and focus. Users will be able to access the festivals or specific programs and discover the performances, workshops, talks, and other activities of a festival or a cultural institution.

Each person mentioned on the Platform will have an individual page with a short biography and links to the artistic events, workshops, talks that s/he participated in. Not only artists are highlighted but also the wider community of people working around a performance, event or festival.

Lyon

Abaya Road is the latest of Zeid Hamdan's projects. This umpteenth musical formation allows this hyperactive producer to have fun with pop and dancing remixes of great classics from the Lebanese, Syrian and Arab repertoire in general. He is accompanied this time by two young singers, Jeanne Humbert (John), harp guitarist with a fragile and suave voice and Celine Khoury who with nuance and assurance handles the different techniques of Arabic singing. But it will also be no surprise if the group launches into some reinterpretations of the great classics taken from some 20 albums that Hamdan has to his credit and from his many titles that marked the Lebanese post-war generation.

Abaya road est le dernier-né des projets de Zeid Hamdan. Cette énième  formation musicale permet à ce producteur hyperactif de s'amuser à des remix pop et dansants de grands classiques du repertoire Libanais , Syrien et arabe en général.  Il es accompagné cette fois par deux jeunes chanteuses, Jeanne Humbert ( John ),  guitariste harpiste à la voix fragile et suave et  Celine Khoury qui avec nuance et assurance manie les différentes techniques du chant arabe. Mais ce sera également sans surprise si le groupe se lance dans certaines réinterprétations des grands classiques pris des quelques 20 albums que Hamdan a à son actif et de ses nombreux titres qui ont marqué la génération Libanaise d’après-guerre.

g r oo v e was born from an irrepressible desire to create a piece, where "grooving" is an imperative. Between a search for spontaneity, commitment and honesty, this solo testifies to an urgency: the urgency of writing, the urgency to freeze a movement in posterity.

g r oo v e  est né d’une envie irrépressible de créer une pièce, où « groover » est un impératif. Entre une recherche de spontanéité, d’engagement et d’honnêteté, ce solo témoigne d’une urgence : l’urgence d'écriture, l’urgence de figer un mouvement dans la postérité.

BLANC is based on a research about ritual, trance and transformation. Trying to peel the layers of the body and its environment revealing the multiple faces that composes the individual in the same way white color is made of all the other colors. The change of skin, the figure of the shaman. 
The body is crossed by fluxus of energies and images. It is, in one side, material and limited, and on the other side utopic, multiple and infinite. Moving between the strata of a continuum that goes from reality to fiction, from present to imaginary, and from rational to irrational. Blanc part d’une recherche sur le rituel, la transe et la transformation.
De même que le blanc est composé de toutes les couleurs, il s’agit d’une tentative de délier les différentes couches du corps humain pour révéler les multiples faces qui composent un individu. La transformation de la chaire, la figure du shaman.
Le corps est traité tant dans sa condition matérielle et périssable que dans sa dimension utopique. Il est question d’organes et de respiration mais aussi de théâtralité et de représentation.
Le point de départ est le corps en tant que un filtre, traversé par des flux d’énergies, d’histoires et de cultures ; se mouvant entre les strates d’un continuum qui va de la réalité à la fiction, du réel à l’imaginaire, du rationnel à l’irrationnel. Sophie Laly successively places her gaze and her camera on three extraordinary personalities who confront their artistic practice with this monumental work of paper installed under the glass roof of Les Subsistances. Alexander Vantournhout, Rebecca Chaillon and Cassiel Gaube are thus filmed in the Eye of the Tornado with aesthetic and chromatic variations that set the tone of this colorful triptych.
