FRITZ Company Bigi/Paoletti is an artistic project and a dance-theatre company founded in 2020 by Damiano Ottavio Bigi, dancer and choreographer, and Alessandra Paoletti, actress, director, and author. They met in Istanbul in 2013, where they began collaborating on Yuvaya Dönmek, Babam için - Back Home, to my father, a work created for the Istanbul Municipal Theater. Since then, they have followed a pedagogical and creative path, connecting with people from various artistic and cultural backgrounds and experiences. Together, they have created shows such as Marion, a show within the project Il posto dei racconti, curated by Mimmo Cuticchio and based on L'Orlando Innamorato by Matteo Maria Boiardo, with the dancer Africa Manso Asensio Jamón en alquiler, presented at the festivals "Le Chaînon Manquant" and "Le Temps d'aimer". Their latest creations, Un Discreto Protagonista and That's All Folks! have been co-produced and supported by Torinodanza Festival, Fondazione Musica per Roma/Festival Equilibrio Roma, One Dance Festival, Compagnia Simona Bucci/Degli Istanti, Fondazione Fabbrica Europa per le arti contemporanee / PARC performing arts research centre, 2Works / Dimitris Papaioannou, Pina Bausch Zentrum (Wuppertal), Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Colonia in collaboration with NID Platform, il Funaro, CHATHA Lyon, Centro di Residenza della Toscana (Armunia - CapoTrave / Kilowatt), Lavanderia a Vapore and Nrw Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft. Un Discreto Protagonista has been selected by NID Platform as an Open Studio in 2021 and 2023 as a guest show. That's All Folks! Has been selected by NID Platform in 2024 in the programming section.
