How it works

Is where you can explore and discover all the artistic and cultural events that will be live streamed. The events are listed individually in chronological date and time. If an event belongs to a festival or a specific program then it will be tagged with the name of the program/festival. You can search for events with specific categories, organizers, artists, or cities.

The listing in this page highlights the full program of different cultural institutions and/or festivals. Moreover, it highlights the cities where different events are taking place. From this page you can also access the individual city pages to discover other previous and future events that are, or were, programmed in the city. This pages highlights the full program of a festival or program and maintain its artistic vision and focus. Users will be able to access the festivals or specific programs and discover the performances, workshops, talks, and other activities of a festival or a cultural institution.

Each person mentioned on the Platform will have an individual page with a short biography and links to the artistic events, workshops, talks that s/he participated in. Not only artists are highlighted but also the wider community of people working around a performance, event or festival.

Citerne.live is a new cultural project that aspires a new approach to the digital as an artistic medium. It aims, at the same time, to provide transformative experiences through dance, and to expand the public's enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of dance. We aim to present new and original works, and to promote the access of culture in a global perspective. Our mission is to imagine an engaged role for culture that empowers, and inspires our human values. Topic 2: Navigating Social-Political Contexts

For two decades, BIPOD and Moultaqa Leymoun have been pivotal in the contemporary dance scene in Lebanon and the Arab world, fostering dialogue and collaboration among Lebanese and international cultural networks, festivals and professionals.

Amidst Lebanon's challenges, including the economic turmoil, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the August 4th explosion, compounded by current regional crises in Gaza and south Lebanon, our cultural responsibility is paramount. We search for ways to persevere in upholding our shared values and nurturing new narratives for dance, that responds to the socio-political and cultural environments of our locality. Preceding the BIPOD festival, this gathering offers a platform to address such socio-economic and political issues impacting Lebanese dance and culture, while also exploring broader Mediterranean and global realities.

This year, Moultaqa Leymoun aims to unite cultural stakeholders and artists in solidarity, fostering information exchange, dialogue, reflection, and collaboration around projects and artists.

We are pleased to unveil the agenda for our upcoming cultural meeting under the title “ Seeds and Soil” , focusing on the intersection of philosophy, social-political dynamics, and artistic expression. Join us for insightful discussions and visionary exchanges aimed at shaping the future of our cultural discourse.

This session online session will convene professionals from Lebanon, Palestine, and the regional countries to share experiences, project concepts as well as relationship dynamics and interaction between local dancers, cultural actors, and audience engagement.
